There’s something magical about a wedding by the water—and Margette and Ryan’s special day at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation was nothing short of breathtaking. With the soft bay breeze, golden light reflecting off the water, and an intimate gathering of loved ones, their celebration was a perfect blend of natural beauty and heartfelt moments.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy—warm, joyful, and deeply personal. The couple chose the Chesapeake Bay Foundation not just for its stunning waterfront views, but because of its mission to protect the Bay—a cause close to their hearts. It was the perfect backdrop for a love story rooted in connection and purpose.
Margette was radiant in a timeless lace gown, her hair caught gently in the wind as she walked down the sandy aisle. Ryan, waiting with tears in his eyes, couldn’t stop smiling. Their ceremony took place right on the beach, with the gentle sounds of the waves playing a soft soundtrack behind their vows.
One of my favorite moments was just after the ceremony: the golden hour portraits. We wandered along the shoreline as the sun dipped low, casting the couple in that perfect amber glow. The way Ryan looked at Margette—like she was the only person in the world—made every shot feel effortless.
As the evening continued, guests moved into the Foundation’s sleek LEED Platinum-certified building for a reception filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and dancing under string lights. It was one of those nights where you could feel love in every corner.
Margette and Ryan’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was intentional, a reflection of who they are and what they value. It was an honor to capture these moments and tell their story through photographs that will last a lifetime.
